NAIC Insights Series with Miriam Rivera

Join us on our 3 p.m. ET December 12th edition of the Industry Insights Live webcast when NAIC President & CEO Robert L. Greene will lead a discussion with Miriam Rivera, CEO, Co-Founder, and Managing Director of Ulu Ventures.

A leading seed-stage venture fund in Silicon Valley, more than 80% of Ulu Ventures’ portfolio companies are founded by diverse teams, including women, underrepresented groups, and immigrants. Ulu Ventures’ investment strategy is data-driven, aiming to reduce bias and focus on emerging markets that have been historically overlooked by traditional venture capital. This approach aligns with the firm’s commitment to diversity and has delivered superior returns for its stakeholders.

The daughter of Puerto Rican migrant farmers, Rivera’s career is marked by significant achievements, both as an entrepreneur and a tech industry leader. Before founding Ulu Ventures, Rivera played a critical role at Google, joining the company in 2001 as its second attorney. Her work in re-engineering contracts and legal processes was instrumental in helping the multinational technology company scale from $85 million to $10 billion in revenue over five years. She also expanded Google’s legal team from a small group to nearly 150 members, establishing a foundation for the company’s rapid growth.

Join us for an intriguing conversation with a Silicon Valley leader who is reshaping the venture capital landscape.
