Kristen Perlman

Director of Marketing & Communications

Kristen is a veteran marketing executive who has developed successful integrated marketing campaigns for some of the largest names in financial services. In her most recent financial services role, Kristen led marketing strategy for J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s Endowments & Foundations Group and alternative investment platform. In this role, Kristen developed a brand and client engagement strategy that deepened relationships with institutional clients, including endowments, foundations, and healthcare organizations. Additionally, she created and implemented marketing campaigns that increased AUM in the firm’s private equity, hedge fund, and real estate/infrastructure strategies.

Prior to that, Kristen served as Head of Marketing at J.P. Morgan Securities where she rebranded the Bear Stearns brokerage business, after it was acquired by J.P. Morgan, and created a comprehensive marketing strategy to highlight the wealth management platform. Earlier in her career, she developed and implemented marketing and communications programs that increased engagement with high net worth clients at Smith Barney, retirement plan and corporate stock plan participants at UBS, and life insurance clients at Prudential.

Previously, Kristen expanded her brand and marketing strategy experience as a small business owner and nonprofit management consultant. She developed a marketing strategy and revenue management program to increase guest engagement, loyalty, and revenue for her small inn in Connecticut. As a nonprofit consultant, Kristen oversaw development and communications for WAM Theatre, a nonprofit organization dedicated to using theatre to provide opportunities for women and girls. Additionally, she provided program management services for Laurel Hill Association, the oldest village improvement society in the United States.

Kristen received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Careers and Economics from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She is passionate about NAIC’s mission and is excited to help the association raise awareness of diverse and women-owned alternative investment firms and help them succeed.
