Jillian Jones is currently a MBA Candidate at The Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania as a Joseph Wharton Scholar, Toigo Foundation Fellow, and NAIC Fellow. Jillian is studying Business Analytics and Entrepreneurship to continue to pursue her passion of technology innovation and investing. Jillian is active within the Wharton community with the goal of creating high-impact professional and development opportunities for her peers. She is co-president of the Entrepreneurship Club and the Wharton Women in Investing (WWIN) club in addition to being an executive board member of the Private Equity Venture Capital Club.
Prior to pursuing her MBA, Jillian was an Associate at AlpInvest Partners, a division of The Carlyle Group in New York. As a member of the investing team, Jillian was responsible for evaluating and executing a range of continuation fund and LP portfolio sale transactions across various industries. Jillian started her career at Morgan Stanley, where she began in the Securitization group within the Capital Markets Division and eventually moved to the Media & Communications group of the Investment Banking Division. In this role, she provided strategic and operational guidance to clients, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, and other capital markets transactions within the media and communications sectors.
Outside of her career, Jillian is passionate about community building and giving back. She was the president and founding team member of ACE Women’s Collective, a non-profit organization focused on the professional empowerment of junior women in the financial sector. Jillian also served as a member of the SEO Junior Leadership Board, supporting the organization’s alumni initiatives and fundraising efforts.
Jillian holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a focus on Finance and Marketing & Operations Management from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Jillian is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
