Aswin John is the Digital Marketing Manager at the National Association of Investment Companies (NAIC), the trade association and largest network of diverse-owned alternative investment firms.
Prior to joining NAIC, Aswin led marketing strategy and brand for small businesses and startups.
While in his previous role at a technical recruiting firm for startups, he ran project management for the marketing team and helped launch several large initiatives including the launch of a community platform, a rebrand and redesign of the website, and the creation of SOPs and workflows for the sales and marketing teams.
During his time at an aerospace consultancy and Siemens software reseller, he used strategies like technical webinars, newsletters, search engine optimization, and trade shows to quadruple software revenue.
Previously, Aswin also worked on the Digital Acceleration team at Cisco, creating campaigns and marketing collateral for partner resellers of their phone solutions.
Outside of his career, Aswin likes to use his marketing and entrepreneurial abilities to benefit efforts he is passionate about; such as his faith, personal finance, and wedding planning.
Aswin is native to the D.C. Metro area and graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in Management, Marketing, and Communications.
