Anja Young

Anja is pursuing her MBA at Wharton School of Business and MPA Harvard Kennedy School with experiences spanning analytical and strategic roles. Originally from Houston, Texas, she believes in the power of capital allocation to build a more just world, and has dedicated her career to doing so through the private, public and nonprofit sectors. Prior to Wharton, Anja worked in Commercial Real Estate Lending at Wells Fargo, where she served as lead junior banker on a $2B portfolio and $5.2B merger and saw the capacity for capital to shape communities. This led her to venture philanthropy with New Profit, where she oversaw the allocation of $15 million annually in grants to education and economic mobility corporations, more than doubling diversity in the portfolio during her tenure. Since then, her leadership experiences have spanned venture capital as a Kapor Fellow, late stage private equity working with Ariel Alternatives and investment banking with Evercore’s restructuring investment banking group. Anja is a proud alum of many communities, including Management Leadership for Tomorrow, Toigo and Stanford University, and will graduate with her dual degree in May 2025.
