Daniel Parra is a graduate of Stanford University, from which he holds a BS in Management Science and Engineering. In 2021, he joined Goldman Sachs as an Associate on the Launch With GS team, Goldman Sachs’ $1 billion initiative to increase access to capital for women, Black, Latinx and other diverse entrepreneurs and investors. Daniel left this role in July 2023 to pursue an MBA at Harvard Business School and plans to graduate in May 2025.
Daniel previously worked at Morgan Stanley within Global Capital Markets and also held internship roles at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and Discover Financial Services.
In recognition of his exceptional academic performance and achievements, Daniel was awarded the Richard B. Fisher Scholarship through Morgan Stanley, as well as HSF Scholarships in each of his undergraduate years. In 2018, he was named the Male Scholar of the Year at the annual HSF Leaders in Education Awards (LEA). He has also received the RISE Fellowship at Harvard, given to the 10 students in each class that have demonstrated the highest commitment to communities of color prior to enrollment.
In addition to the inspiration from his family, he recalls that the assistance of mentors was key in his trajectory from college student to working professional. Daniel is therefore committed to giving back to his community and currently serves as a member of HSF’s Advisory Council in New York, as well as on the Board of Directors at Ascend Learning, a network of charter schools in Brooklyn committed to unlocking boundless choice for its students of primarily low-income backgrounds.
